Where on the back of a naked King TP to mount CBW emblem?
« on: July 28, 2012, 02:34:27 AM »

Wondering what you guys all think.

I do like it on the Lower Bottom...the space seems like it's made for it, but am wondering if it might be facing down a bit much.

On the lid looks awesome, but it's too close to the HD  MC emblem and if (probably) I put on a rack I don't think It'll look right.

It's a one time deal, so I gotta get it right and I value your collective opinions.

Please, feel free to post your pics of yours!

I like it in the middle.  It looks to busy on the top or bottom.

I agree with Brian and Judy....in the middle.

Dayne, if you don't mind my saying so, to add chrome to a Street Glide is working against the whole Street Glide concept (less chrome, more of an all painted canvas).  All the extra chrome doo-dads is the Ultra Classic concept.  Have you considered having that piece painted the darker color on your bike?  Or better yet, having Screamin Eagle hand painted across their by a really talented pin stripper, incorporating both of your colors.  A good hand painter could really do it up and give it the custom look for a couple hundred bucks and it'd be one of a kind!   Just a thought. :nixweiss:

I've tried to keep the TP from getting junked up... but I like the SE emblem in the middle... that's where I mounted mine.

I basically agree with JC about keeping the SESG "clean"... but unlike him, I do like a few chrome bits in strategic places! This is one of them... the Big Orange Wall just needed something.

It's not exactly like the SESG is devoid of all chrome, guys. ::)

Guess I'm the contrary guy here. I like the top position providing you aren't planning to add a spoiler (which I do like). In regards to the chrome thing. Never owned a Street Glide so I don't know the concept of the painted only look. Personally, I've never seen a canvas that a little chrome can't improve but I'm pretty far out of normal on that view so don't go by what I say.

Which gets back around to the most commonly held theory - "It's your bike, do what you want with it!"

X2.  I like the way Ken has his "decorated"  :2vrolijk_21:.   If I put one on (Stuart) I would probably cover the damn thing in lights since I was hit from the rear.  The more lights, the better someone can see me!

Judy - that tiny thin little LED lightbar at the top of my TP, right under the lid (that  you probably did not even notice) is a Ride Time Technology unit that throws out WAY more light than the great big H-D Ultra LED light bar does. When I hit the brakes, drivers behind me WILL see me! It has 125 LEDS - and the 25 on each side also function as turn signals - with brakes applied or not.
