What you see in mirror after installing WO575s
« on: September 02, 2012, 08:07:36 AM »

Heres what I see in my faring mounted mirrors after installing Wild One 575 bars.  I am 6' tall and took these with a camera in my sunglasses.  I tried to take the pictures in a normal riding position to be as accurate as possible.  I have the bars as far up/forward as possible without hitting the inner faring.  I hope this helps anyone thinking of doing this install.

Wayne,,  I did the 575s also.  I do like the split mirrors, now that I see yours.  I am okay with the fairing mirrors, but yours definitely show that you can see more. I might be looking into those very shortly.  Thanks for the pics.  :2vrolijk_21:

That's about what my hands look like on the wife's bike with the 575's.  I do like the spot mirrows on your bike.

How difficult was the wiring and did you need to lengthen any cables or wiring?

That is what I see in my mirrors with the 575's, not a deal breaker but I do like the split mirrors.  Where did you get them?  :nixweiss:

Those are HD.  Most dealers have them hanging up.  I'm gonna try em out.   :2vrolijk_21:

I've had the WO575 bars on my last two bikes and if you are wanting taller bars these aren't it.

I'm 6' and here's what I look like riding with 575 bars as high as they will go.

If that pic of you on top is the same bars in the bottom pic, then it must be 'camera-angle' or something, 'cause it looks as if your hands are about even with the speakers in the fairing and in the pic of the bars, it appears that the grips are way higher than that.  Have you got the bars rolled-back in the upper pic?  spyder

The picture in the comment is the "WO575 Bagger Bars" as high as they will go on my old 2009 Street Glide.
The picture that is my signature is 12" Apes on my 2012 CVO.

Here are pictures from Wild 1s web page. Both of these bars are listed with a 10" rise.
Because the 575's are straight they can't get the grips as tall as the 578 Apes do, which are bent to fit around the inner fairing.

I am a mechanic buy trade so it was easy for me.  I did not change the cables or alter the harness.  Read the tips on the Wild One site.  The most important thing is to make sure you label the wires before you remove them from the connectors  draw a diagram with the connector/wire orientation and the side, also make sure the TBW twist sensor assy fits easily in the right bar end some people on the forum have reported it was a tight fit.

good luck

My dealer did mine.  Best 360 I ever spent.  :pineapple:
