Just want to pass this on. My BackRest on my brand New CVO developed a small hole in the Vinyl on the back side. There is a Spring under the Vinyl and toward the top of the bar there is a hole where 1 end of the spring comes out. The tip of the spring end rubbed a hole into the vinyl as it is very sharp. I slid a rag between the vinyl and the metal to help protect it. The bike is getting its first service and I pointed this out to the Service Manager. Curious what they will do to alleviate this. So if you have 1 check it out before you get that hole

Thanks for this heads up! Found the same problem with my spring, no hole yet but was only a matter of time. Bent the tip of the wire under and topped with 6 layers of good ole duct tape until I can find a better solution.

Checked my buddies out and low and behold he has the same problem.  He's calling the dealer tomorrow to see what they will do for him.  Thanks for the info.
