Brembos anyone?
« on: March 16, 2007, 04:37:37 AM »

I had brembo's on my street rod and i loved it.I saw on another thread that some of the Ultra crowd have new brembo brakes on their bikes.Beautiful OCD and braking capability should be awesome too.Anyone has them on Fatboys?I am not sure if they make a version for Softails tough.I tought since everyone upgrading their bikes power we maybe should upgrade the brakes too. :drink:

Altugo,

check out an old thread of mine which relates to just upgrading to a top quality pad. I ride fairly hard from time to time & have no problem stopping at all & no lockup either

check it out here!

Cheers

I believe Brian and Grover both switched to Brembo's. I've had them , superb feel and great stopping.  If you can swing it , the 12.6" rotor with the 4 piston will make a noticeable difference.

I also have installed Brembo's front and rear.  I did not go with the 4 piston brake pad however - my reason was no one else makes this size pad - and I wanted to have pad options for stopping power - and pad options in case of emergency situations.  Other folks make the 2 brake pad style but not the 4 brake pad style.  I didn't want to be stranded somewhere because of a brake pad failure.  I take lots of long trips - and want to have emergency maintenance options...

The brakes work incredibly well and look great...

Totally agree.  They are the nuts for stopping and I still can't get over the superb feel at the lever.  The only reason for my statement about not having a Fatboy was that altugo mentioned seeing the posts of folks having them on Electra Glides and specifically asked if anyone had them on a FB.
