I assumed the stock seat on my 2005 Fat Boy SE was leather, but read on a forum where someone stated HD only uses vinyl?
Does some one know for sure what it is made of?

Some of the HD seats have leather tops, but most manufacturers use vinyl on the side pieces. I don't know for sure, but I would be willing to bet that your SE seat is leather on top.

The stock seat on my 05 sefb was vinyl. My leather guy said the quality of this material was very good and would be very durable with no maintenance needed like the leather especially if left in the rain. He also said after taking it apart the stitching was top quality.

Damn it, I thought it was leather also! Oh well I should have known you only get vinyl on a Screamin Eagle!
