HIDs are pricey (like everything else on the bike).  But if age is starting to manifest itself by deminishing night vision, it's well worth it.  We can see much better now, especially the perephrial vision. :2vrolijk_21:

I believe Ernie was the first in Nor Cal to get the HIDs.  But after a few group rides and we all got to see the difference first hand (Ernie could be behind me at night and his HID would out shine my light and his was still on low beam), eventually, all of us ended up getting the HID.

Would the increased light in your mirrors further decrease you're night vision when he was following you?  :nixweiss: spyder
