2) Given Name  ie: Larry
3) Age: 57
4) Location in the world: Tennessee
5) FXR Model Owned: 1992 FXR2  Arresting Red
6) Paragraph about how long you have owned your FXR and how you decided to purchase one: Purchased my FXR two days after they were released on the HD Website.  I was in Arkansas on a rainey evening at 5pm and they were just putting it on the pedestal to show the public the next day.  The bike was so beautiful I almost had a heart attack.  I had always had an affection for FXR's as and old Harley buddy of mine had one.  I bought the bike on the spot.  NO REGRETS
7) What "major" modifications have been done to your bike. Chromed Harely 19 inch wheel, PM Chrome Caliper, Corbin Leather Seat, Windvest Winshield, Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner and Exhaust.  No major engine work yet.

Hi Larry,
Welcome, You list your  bike as a 1992 FXR2. The FXR2 was was the 1st edition FXR CVO followed by the FXR3 second edition both were made in 1999. The 92 FXR was not a FXR2 model. I am sorry to tell you this. I hope that you will still be happy with the bike. I had a new 89 FXR-Sport edition that I really loved now have 2000 FXR4 third edition.
Enjoy your scooter,

6) I bought this unseen via the net in mid Dec. Had it shipped and saw it early Jan. I pushed it up hill as it wouldn't run. I am trying to improve on the ride my current xcountry bike gives me and after a lot of reading decided that the fxrt was the the overlooked wonder of harley. Despite the problems with this bike the model selection was correct. It corners!
7) None yet. The engine needs and the braking system needs.

Just popping in to say hi.  Sorry I haven't been on in awhile.  I got to go to Daytona for the first time ever.   So my Blue 3 has now been ridden down there twice in it's history.  Had such a good time I'm going back for Octoberfest.Hope everyone is doing well and has plenty of rides lined up for the spring.  Take care all.  Catch me on bikerornot  Ga_Puddles.

2)Given name: George
3)Age:36
4)Location
5)FXR Model owned: Currently 1990FXRS-SP     Previously 1985FXRS-SP
6)My story: After riding sportbikes for 10 years an working at a Harley-Davidson dealership for 3 I decided it was time to buy a Harley.I had a hard time deciding because I didn't like the way most of them handled until i rode a FXR4yeller.It was great.I actually felt like I could drag a knee on the turns! Now I couldn't afford the price they wanted for her so I waited. Finally during bike week this classic looking 1985 SP model came in on trade for $5000.00.I paid 6500.00 out the door.A fixxer upper but potential.I rode her for 2 years until she was unfortunately killed in action by a hit and run 1979 Cadillac Coupe deville(the biggest car on the planet). Now same deal, while in recovery I waited and waited.I didn't want any other model.Nor could I see myself riding any other model. Finally she came.once again during bikeweek.A 1990 FXRS-SP with 36K mi. This time for $4000.00 and $5000.00 out the door. Unbelievable but true. Her name is Black Magic and yes she is a screamer.I love screamers!
