Does anyone know where i can purchase Boom Can's slip on exhaust's for my 09 SERG?? Bigger diameter is better, i think they are 6" or 7". I cant seem to locate any. Thanks
-
never even heard of them
-
The only place that came up on a Google search was Dirt Cheap Parts at $315.95. See their product page at http://www.dirtcheapparts.com/customparts_4_042.htm (http://www.dirtcheapparts.com/customparts_4_042.htm)
From what I see on the Dirt Cheap Parts product page, it looks like the Boom Cans are made by Drag Specialties. However, searching the online Drag Specialties FatBook, I couldn't find them listed there.
HTH.

ok i know them . but the baffle looks like a fullsac, so , no more sound than our set up
-
Never seen a bike with them and never heard of them.

Have you seen the tailgunners yet : http://tailgunner-exhaust.com/performance08.php (http://tailgunner-exhaust.com/performance08.php)

Thanks for the advise, looks like $500 buys a set from Milwakee Baggers, not sure why drag specialties dont list them on there site ??
-
Did you buy them?
I like them and had them on a custom but thought they would be to large for the 2010 SESG?
Curious if they fit your bike they should fit on mine!
-
Ordered mine yesterday!
Are they here yet????
-
I like the looks of these pipes though I haven't seen them on a SERG. Would be interested in reading responses about the sound. Much better looking IMHO than stock pipes with Fullsac. I'm running D&D 2 into 1 with ghost pipe, so not planning on changing out soon, however.........if they sound as good as they look, this could be interesting!!
-
Should have them installed on my SESG next week I"ll post pic's then. I've ridden a friends bike with them installed and they sound sweet!
Maybe I can get an audio clip to post?
Ordered through Mark at http://www.mandmcycles.com

They dont come with the mesh they are just inserted by the vendor for pictures actually they dont even sell them??
-
very nice looking.... too bad they dont have the mesh tips..... still sweet looking though
-
Very nice. I think the first I would do before installing them is paint the inside of the mufflers with flat black heat paint.

Now that you mention that painting the inside would set them off and give the impression that there isn't that smaller opening (baffle) in there. :2vrolijk_21: But after running them awhile exhaust soot may do the same. :nixweiss:

That was the same conclusion I came to
-
This is true but if you look at the 2 pipes after awhile of riding, the left one will not be as black as the right. The right side flows more exhaust than the left. Hence the flat black paint.
-
Yes I agree they should be built that way :2vrolijk_21:
-
Kind of a small baffle? Has any one Dyno'd these yet?

Really very awesome sound , I like em very much , but you would get a big bump by the police using them here in Germany , a very big aching bump .....

Found Boom Cans on Bub's Web site today @ $400.00 best price I've seen :2vrolijk_21:
Also more than I paid :nixweiss:

Drag Spec quit having them made several year ago. They are a good pipe my uncle runs them on his roadglide. If you want to hear something loud take the baff out.... Sound like a stock car going around the track..
-
There you go Larry and maybe you could just stick a Budweiser Can in there to get the tone right?

Looking much better. :2vrolijk_21:
What do they look like dead on from the back? Can you still see the smaller baffle opening?

Old thread but has anyone else gave these a try recently? What does the sound compared too?
-
They are a little softer than the fullsac 2" baffles. I lost torque and HP with mine.

Thank you BigLew. That was what I was wanting to know
