Softail Oil Line Fittings
« on: August 26, 2020, 05:15:44 PM »

I have an '05 CVO 103" Softail motor that I will be using in a car.  Since it will not have the usual under seat oil tank, I will need to "adapt" the stock in/out oil line fittings on the side of the cam chest to my remote mounted oil tank.

I pulled out the stock fittings just a bit ago and they seem to have straight threads on them with an O-ring for a final sealing surface.

What can I swap to that will get me preferably AN fittings to the Harley case?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as always!

Thanks... :)

Dan, every one of those lines have a soft coupler for vibration protection between the hard lines that make up each end.  Why not just use the stock fittings and the short hard lines that make the first connection and then use hose clamps to connect 3/8" (I think that's the right size) line to those stubs and plumb from there?
