Comparing California to Texas
« on: January 15, 2014, 09:26:13 AM »

I'm pretty sure a left coast moderator will think this is too political and delete it!  Maybe I'll get lucky and it will just  be moved to the Humor section!

Great video!
Reminds me of all the northerners that come down south for a better way of life then complain about the people here.
My first thought is, GO BACK, second thought is, if you came down because it's a better way of life then, DON'T SCREW IT UP!

I grew up on the beaches in San Diego.  We used to have raging bon fires with pallets taken from grocery stores. Is this no longer aloud? :)

I'm so sorry if you live in California. In Virginia they have to remind us on holidays no celebratory gun fire...

I guess you haven't been to Lake Elsinore, Ca. I had to put a silencer on my rifle but we shoot ducks, coots and geese from my patio. You can bow fish on our lake legally and there is no speed limit for boats. Folks jump off of cliffs on hang gliders right behind us and land on our beach. We burn wood in our fireplaces and tree cuttings on our beach. I've got drag pipes and apes on my chopper and the cops just say "nice bike"...and the weather is nice and the water like glass almost all year long. Pic from this morning.

There's a rumor that one of the Lake Elsinore Search and Rescue boats had a cooler with some adult beverages on ice.  Probably didn't happen, though.  You know how those "lake people" like to start trouble.  ::)

Fisherman, if you do get a chance to hop the pond and visit Texas, head to the town of Leakey, you will find Three Twisted Sisters waiting for a good ride.....and visit in July or August and you will understand why beer should be served ice cold....... :2vrolijk_09:  :drink:

Brilliant. I loved it! I am a Brit who has spent most of my career working for American computer companies and have spent a lot of time in both California and Texas, and from an outsiders point of view it made me laugh, because it's so true
