Title: head temp 320
Post by: how2 on December 13, 2020, 08:03:39 AM
I have a thunder max and the head temp is 320 all the time and the spark is 10 and the manifold pressure is 10. Does anyone know why it is so hot?  The bike runs well.

I know the Tmax is auto-tune but if the target AFRs are lean then it is expected. Sometimes the AFRs need tweaking, timing changed. I don't even know if this latest Tmax recognizes the knock sensing, the older versions didn't have any sort of ping control. Detonation will buzz the temps right up. Same comment for temp vs AFR adjustments if not present. I am not sure but read the manual for clarity if you haven't already.

Do your motor a favor and get it to a tuner that speaks thundermax
