All I can say is DAMN!!!!!! This thing is a beast. Haven't gotten it out on the highway yet, but first through fourth are vicious. Love the power and the sound is deafening... Love it all.

I know that feeling my friend!!! I’m basically putting down the exact same numbers you are... ENJOY... Just be careful... I ripped 3rd gear out having to much fun... Went with the Grudgebox after that... And switched to chain drive...
-
Nothing like having lots of torque. Sure makes for a fun ride.

Okay I finally got it out on the highway to bring it home. There is a stumble or a flat spot between 3750 and 4050 RPM. It's very noticeable and very consistent 1st through 4th gear. After 4050 it pulls like a freight train all the way up to 6k.. it corresponds to the dip at that RPM in my Dyno chart. If anybody has any ideas please let me know it's going back to the shop next week for additional tuning.
-
If it were mine I would be looking elsewhere for a proper tune. A former poster on this forum James Wagner has a shop, Independent Motorcycle Shop in Muskogee, OK. Good guy. Then there is Steve at GMR in the Fort Worth. Lots of experience and knows what's happening with M8 tuning.

Now that Lyndon is gone not sure who they have doing their tuning. If you could get Richard on the dyno he should be able to get it straightened out for you

Any update on this beast from Oklahoma (God’s Country)?

Yes sir. They got in touch with Dynojet. The base tune file was corrupted. Did a complete retune. 140whp and 155wtq. Monster from idle to redline. I have also upgrade to full Legends suspension, Revo Arcs out back and Axeo up front and 12" bars that look like factory just taller. Headed out on a 1500 mile trip next Saturday.

Nice numbers. :coolblue: I’m guessing all done at Route 66?
There aren’t any other parts mentioned in the thread anywhere. Is this the 131 kit from H-D with no other internal parts substituted or added?

I would like to see the dyno, parts list, and information on the dyno model and software version.

Don not positive on the dyno information, but have seen several bikes builds off this dyno and it has always seemed pretty honest. Fairly certain its a 250

The defacto standard is Dyno Jet 250i with winpep 8 software. I know when guys start clucking about a 117" twin cam making 150 tq that is usually fantasy. Even a 117 m8 with pump gas street compression 150 tq is rare but could pop up occasionally. Jmho and subject to change with legitimate data, not just one example.

Sorry for the delayed response.
HD 131 kit with the SE Extreme heads, S&S 550 Cam, Trask Air Assault Breather, RC Components exhaust - RCX Tormentor Head pipe and 4.5 Mufflers with custom fabricated baffles. Final tune is 140whp and 155wtq... We just did a 1500 mile trip with no issues. Running 2 up fully loaded on 93 octane in 90 degree plus weather bike ran great and got 34.5mpg.

That is cool! Unless you keep it mellow you're gonna become very good at changing belts. By the way, what compensator are you running?

Stock comp. I am ordering the replacement ramp from Cyclerama at the end of the week. I haven't seen very many reports of broken belts. I don't hard launch, do burn outs or wheelie the bike but I do ride hard so we will see how it goes. I have about 5k on build so far.

I have 28K on my build. Still on stock compensator, no burn outs. No wide open shifts. I do ride hard, and I do use all the power.

Your belt will last a long time if you keep it adjusted properly (too loose is bad, Bad, BAD) and avoid the drag strip. Full throttle roll-ons will NOT kill your belt. Avoid the drag strip- it's like a drug!
