Title: Latest on Apple CarPlay
Post by: btharris24 on November 15, 2021, 10:20:53 AM
I know this has been kicked around for a couple years now but as of today is a headset still required to use Apple carplay? I have a 2020 CVO Limited.

I'm not sure if that bike came with a WHIM or not , but....The way I understand it is if your bike came with or has a WHIM then you have a couple options to having Carplay work. Your main option of course is to plug your iPhone in to the USB plug and utilize your Sena headset. Or you can plug your phone in and put your Sena in the on position and put it in your pocket or somewhere on your bike and Carplay will work fine, but either of those options of coarse will require keeping your Sena charged up. Or there is a $12 override you can buy online and plug in behind your fairing and voila, unless of course you have the WHIM then for this to work you will have to go in to the dealer and have the WHIM turned off.
Feel free to chime in guys if I missed anything.

The 2020 CVO limited came with a WHIM and headset.  Rayson has it correct on how to use CarPlay
