Welcome to the site from Conyers.

any of the buffetting on the head that someone experienced as well as not being able to listen to the stereo at fwy speed.
-
There's some ear noise but no where near my Dyna with no windshield. I hear the stereo fine!

jettjocky, can you post a picture from the front and from the driver position looking forward? It would be nice to see the KW form different angles.

That sure looks good on the bike. How tall are you?
Looking forward to your follow up

I,m 6 ft. Rode a couple hundred miles yesterday......12in. works is ok to 70 mph gets a windy 75-to-95 I ware a half helmet.... on longer high speed trips will need to go to 3/4 or full face (witch hurts my neck) I had Jim put hog tune amp and speakers in so I can hear tunes at any speed.....Shield work just ok but lookd goooooood-AK

Thank you for the reply

$.02: Agree with AK. KW works fine but could be 2" taller. I'm 5'11" and use a Carbon Kevlar 1/2 helmet from HCI. Around 75 things get windy but I use ear plugs (read about ear damage from the wind noise). I used the stock rubber gasket. You'll need four hands to place it properly. The chrome cover looks good but out of place to me....

That looks very good on there.

I agree it really looks good. As long as it is somewhat functional it appears to be the best look of all the options although I am waiting to see Kuryakans new Touring shield for the RG

Put the shield on without the gasket, put all the screws in losely. Spray some WD-40 in the channel of the gasket and slide it under the screen from one side to the other. Works slick (no pun intended)

You're right but... by stock rubber gasket, I mean the one that comes off the black deflector that came with the SERG. It's glued to the black deflector and you have to peal it off. You can see how it fits above. I think you're referring to the narrow rubber gasket from the prior years which leaves some gaps with the KW, etc.

So far as I know, it's the stock gasket that came with my 07 RG and then got put on with the Clearview an is now on the KW. No gaps whatsoever, it contours perfectly to the shape of the KW. The one I believe you're referring to has never been off. The MoCo did a good job of sticking that sucker to the outer fairing shell.

It's much better! My wife even noticed a difference! It looks great from the side, could be better from the front. But I'm pleased with everything so far. I've got to do the speaker/amp upgrade next.
-
I've got a standard height (14") Clearview in perfect shape I can be sweet talked out of.
Also, the chrome Road Glide windshield trim to go with it. Will sell as a set if you can talk good enough

Same height? :nixweiss: which one looks the best adn performs better?

Nope, the KW is an 8" black shield. The Clearview is a 14" clear The KW wins in the looks department by a country mile, but is too short.
I want to buy a 12" smoked KW which is why I'll sell the Clearview to a sweet talkin fellow site member who also wants to pony up a few bucks for the chrome trim as well
