Well CVO fans I couldn't resist. One less Vrod and one more CVO Road Glide.
I know you all can help me spend some more money. Going with the fullsac baffles and a rider backrest for sure. Looking for input on a windshield though. I'm 6.1, please let me know you like best so far. I'd be intrested in any other goodies you like on your RG.

Congrats on the new serg :2vrolijk_21:
-
Thanks,
Funds low right now. Looks like the back rest first followed by a Windshield. Little bit at a time. winter project installing the fullsacs.
-
Looks good, matches our, tries a 10" scalloped, then a 12" Klock Werks, finally a Clearview that works, there are a lot of reviews on windshields
-
You are the right height for a 12" Windvest, I tried three before buying one of these, it works good. FullSacs are less than $120 with CVO discount. Good use of the funds, but rid yourself of the cat someway, whether you core drill it, cut pipe apart or replace headpipe, getting rid of the cat is the first thing you should do. Others will tell you this is better, that is better but just getting rid of it is what is important and if cash is important a core drill is probably cheapest.
Good luck
Don

Thanks JH
What size on the Clearview 12"?
-
Thanks DW
I'll check out the Windvest.
If I get rid of the cat will I need to get a race turner?
-
Congratulations on your new SERG! My preference for windshields is the Clearview (and I've tried a few), another that is getting good reviews is the new Windvest. We have several topics about windshields in the SERG discussion area that you should find very informative, here is one...

Thanks Guilty, I'll check it out.

I put an 8in Clockworks on mine ..didnt get rid of all the wind but then I dint want all of it gone anyway and the bike still looks sleek..Im 6ft ...
-
Sweet. Congrats, You're gonna love it. I put Rinehart Slip ons, a SERT, KLockwerks shield, and stripped off the reflectors to get things started.
-
You are the right height for a 12" Windvest I agree with Don, I tryed the 8" & 12" Klockwork shields  I'm 5'11" way to much wind and noise. Here's a pic of mine also go with the 2" fulsac's and SERT or TTSMaster, way less money and it will sound great and run like mad!
-
I'm 6-2, hated little stock windshield, got klockwerks 12", still too much wind, bought 18" regular hd roadglide windshield. Cant decide whether to look over it or under it, top edge is in bad spot, now have 16" klock on order. I hope the 4th windshield is a charm.

I'm 6'2" and I have two CV's, the 10" dark w/recurve and the GT Med. The 10" looks great and is much better than the stock but no good on the highway or any long rides. The GT med is perfect for any long rides but my kid say the bike looks like a ski doo with it on.
-
Got the GT Small Clearview on mine. I'm 6'3" and look over it about 2". Perfect! and a quality piece also.
Congrats on the new scoot :2vrolijk_21:
-
I'm 6'1 and I have the KW 16". It's perfect, wind is at the forehead and higher. 09 SERG

I've tried a couple of windscreens and for the best combo of looks and function I like the Windvest... Also, cat removal, TTS Mastertune, and Fullsac baffles are a must, relatively cheap and easy to install.... the payoff is more than well worth it...
-
I agree, the Klock looks the best, but the Clearview GT does a better job for long distance riding...
-
Thanks for all the input. Got to get with Fullsac soon, can't hear the engine for shifting.

Congratulations on your SERG! :2vrolijk_20: :2vrolijk_20: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: We'll try to help you spend plenty :ons_4: $$$$ on it! :ons_4: :bananarock: :mango: :huepfenjump3:
Sounds like you've been busy! :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:
Here's a shot of the Clearview GT Small. Works fine but not too much in the looks dept. I've ordered a Cee Baileys 14" with tint (rec'd for 5'11" - 6'1"); it's the only one designed to use the SERG rubber seal / gasket. I tried out a Cee Baileys 13" and liked the funtion and looks. If you want the Clearview, let me know.
-
Thanks Greg
CeeBaileys shipped yesterday, same as the one you ordered. Hope it's a good one.
-
Larry, congrats and welcome to the family! Check out Cee Bailey's windscreens as well. I've had mine for 6,000 miles, mostly roads at 75+ mph and both me and the BSR like the function. I like the look better too since CB does not have a chrome strip at the juncture of the screen to the fairing like lots of others do - that's personal preference though and not functional. Good luck with the mods and keep us posted. Other toys I've added are Kuryakan irredescent heat shields, Cobra slipons, H-D backrest and H-D Stealth luggage rack. I also bought a KW 12" but it does nothing other than look great - get lots of buffetting at anything over 50 mph (but it does look great on the bike). I've still got other toys to add too...
-
:2vrolijk_02: Congratulations on your new SERG! My preference for windshields is the CeeBaily (you made the right choice)...Wheneveryour ready to do the sound system let me know. I have some great ideals. :orange: :orange: :orange: :bananarock: :mango:

Damn that looks like a lot of money to get caught out in a thunderstorm with.

It's waterproof.

It's waterproof.
No chit?

Looks like the Road Glide's mount gives a better display angle than the Electra Glide's?
Assume it's weather tight only with the display retracted? So pony up, what's the model number?
