Great. I’ll give up the diet Dew for two weeks and post results here.

The HD strategy is not to have target of 14.4 at WOT.  There is PE mode.  Or Power Enrichment mode.  If this is set richer than the target table.  Which it is.  The ECM will shoot for the richer target.  The SE tuner gives you no access to this table.  What makes it active and when it becomes deactivated.  BUT it is usually set up to come on with time, throttle position, and a certain RPM.  This is nothing new in the car world and like TQ base tuning.  Has entered the HD world because car guys are the ones being employed.

If wanting a better understanding of PE mode.  You can look at the after market tuners calibrations and get better idea of how it is set up.  If you look at your log of the dyno run.  I would bet you would see some throttle closure or not holding a solid kpa through out the run.

A question I’ve always had—- is diet soda/pop still bad for weight loss?  I too need to lose 10#. I swim 1000 yds 3 days/wk at the Y at 5am before I’m totally awake. Been doing that for 40 years but still have a gut I’d like to lose. Must be the ice cream. Would rather stop the diet soda.

Yes, carbonated drinks (both leaded and unleaded) cause water retention which makes you bloated.  Try giving it up for 1 week, you’ll lose water weight and feel better. I drink my share of diet Mountain Dew because I cannot stand drinking water first thing in the mornings but the times I’ve taken a break from it, I felt a lot better and quickly lost several lbs.

I’ve been to Sturgis 15 times as we only live 650 miles away. It used to be a day ride, now I split it into two because I’m retired and can. Usually spend one day at vendors looking, then getting T-shirts for the grand kids. Love getting up early and beating the crowds for rides. Such beauty in the hills.
Haven’t been to Daytona. So can’t compare. Would like to get there some day.

I would agree with Dave. As far as Daytona being trailer week. Us up here north of KY don't have much of a choice but to trailer because of the weather lol....When I went in 14' there was an ice storm in Tenn and Ky on the way home..... :(

With all the turmoil we've been dealing with the last couple of years, I hope everyone can find a thing or two to be thankful for today.

Some may even get a ride in today!

I would pick Sturgis.  After two days of vendors, crowds and drunks you'll probably want to get away and ride.  In that vein Sturgis offers better places to ride.
