Thinking of installing the Fullsac myself. Question is how long is install, did you remove the lower fairing?

Anything else I should know before attempting?

How long depends on your wrenching experience, whether you have a good set of tools, whether you've done projects like this before and whether you have the service manual for your bike. 

To change baffles:  Installing Fullsac Baffles on 09 CVO Road Glide

Changing the headers is easy if you proceed slowly and have an extra set of hands available.  The service manual was indispensable, esp. for the torque values.  Don't over-tighten the header bolts!

TTS install requires downloading and updating the software,  Fullsac sends very good instructions.  See attachment. 

Proceeding very carefully (And cleaning along the way) and not having done it before, it took two of us about three hours.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I am pretty good with working on things but I am pretty much by myself so the timing is good to know. I am planning on reviewing the service manual tonight anyway to get an idea of the work involved before I order the stuff. My biggest concern has been the TTS. I have not used anything like this before. I had a fuel pac (I think) once (on a heritage) and I had a shop install it. They could never get the bike right so I ended up taking it off and it was returned. Since then I have just used Harley's tuner and never had any issues. I also don't know if I got the best tune or not.

So how hard is it to get the bike running right?  I know Fulsac will help but I am thinking it should be a simple download of a new map and not a big deal. Is that correct?

I'm not a computer guru nor a motorcycle mechanic, but the Fullsac installation was easy and I had no help.  The biggest concern - take your time and go slow.  Installing the Fullsac map via TTS is easy, just follow the directions.  The most time consuming part was grinding the baffle welds.  Remember, YouTube is your friend.

If you get stumped, call Fullsac or post on this forum and someone will help.

Related to your original question, I put a FuelMoto 2-1-2 head pipe on my 2015 CVO RGU two weeks ago and you do not have to remove the fairing lowers to change the head pipe.  I'm pretty slow doing this and took me 3-4 hours by myself.  I think most mechanics with proper tools and lift can easily do this part in a couple of hours.  I always have trouble with the crossover gasket and the retainer rings on the flanges at the head.  It involves removal of bags, heat shields, right rider floor board, mufflers and pipes.  Then put it all back with the different pipe.

My buddy just gave me some good tips, he said I'll need a swivel wrench for the front pipe if I don't want to remove the lower fairing.

Also the floorboard only has to be dropped from the back bolt

O2 sensors need to be put back exactly top and bottom don't mix them up

Hey ZVO, installing a new Fullsac System takes about 4 hours if you take your time and do it right, I am an average mechanic who takes more time than necessary, but when I am done its right and it took me about 4 hours, I had a great time doing the upgrade. In the end, I did call Steve at Fullsac to help me with the final connection and ECM download from my Laptop, he was great to work with, very patient and in the end, my 2012 FLHTCUSE7 runs GREAT !!!! Like someone else said, the grinding out of the original baffle welds is a PITA, but again, have the right grinder and a new carbide grinding tool, take your time and it will work out fine. I do recommend the new baffle screens inside the factory muffler that holds the packing up against the wall of the factory muffler, they work great !! Again, someone else recommended Youtube, especially for the weld grinding, it will help. Good luck with the Fullsac Mod, you won't be disappointed !!!

The pipes are SE Street Cannon slip ons, I plan on using a SE Tuner not the Fullsac TTS.

ZVO - I was wondering about the SE tuner and if it would work. I will see how your experience is. I have Kuryakyn slip ons so like you I am just thinking of the DX headers (Stainless).

Installed full sac headers. Using SE Street Cannons. No decel popping heard, seems to be running great with stock map. Could be because cvos come with stage 1 air cleaner so bike is already tuned for higher air/ fuel mix.

Very happy with the fitmenr of the pipes and fullsac headers.

No tuner used.

You can get away with puttin around town at light throttle. I would strongly discourage any hiway or heavy throttle
use until you get it properly tuned. You think its running good now? Just wait until it has some fuel!

I installed my Fulsac DX pipe too. I did get the tuner but I have not been able to get the TTS tuner to do any more than get the VIN and ID from the ECM on the bike. I rode the bike about 50 miles yesterday and seemed to do fine. I was real easy on it. I hope to get the tuner issue sorted out soon but I am at a dead end with it.

I used the SE Super Tuner last time, and my idle was always bouncing around the 1000 mark never had a steady idle even died on me a few times..it was running lean in first as well but ran perfectly after. just wary of the SE tuner now.

She is running better than stock I can feel that
