Will probably be spending more time here on the site for a few weeks and not on the CUSE. Rotator cuff surgery tomorrow morning, so no riding for awhile. Hooked up the battery tender, cleaned the "No Shades" paint and installed the 800 thread count sheet cover. It will be ready when I am. The poor Lil-Bit will be "Jonesin" to get back in the saddle worse than me. Already upset she can't get out. Oh well, sometimes we have to step back to go forward. My grandson's greeting says how she feels. Wrongway

Sorry you're in need of the surgery. Prayers with you and the family. I feel your pain, Brother. I picked up my Jester Wed, 11 April and went to the ER the next day with a burst appendix. No bike for 6 weeks - that's this Friday - I can hardly wait, but I've done what the doc told me and I feel ready. Best advice, listen to the surgeon - he's the expert. I told my surgeon that if he removed an extra 5-10 pounds during the surgery, I'd give a ride

. I lost about 12 pounds during the "ordeal"... I'm gonna' pay up, too!

Good luck with the surgery...a couple of my friends had this sugery and it was a great success!! So you've got feeling better and less pain to look forward to...keep us posted on the progress. The scoot knows you love her and will be waiting patiently for you to get better.

Glad to see you're at home and able to let us know. Take it easy, and don't overdue it, and as I said before do what the medical staff tells you, and do your PT and you will be back better then before.

I feel your pain, I have had the same shoulder repaired twice and the recovery process is slow and painfull. Best of luck to you.

I had that done in 1981 It was a good year - Six weeks off with pay- and a lot of beer an TV with some physcially thearpy thrown in

Had my right shoulder totally reconstructed in 91. Its a painful rehab but do as much as you can and you will get the best range of motion back.The one thing I learned from the operation was to wipe my butt left handed, a little odd at first.

recovery. I got a banged up wrist and ribs and bike. I think I will be better way
before the bike though. Let us know how the shoulder is doing. Watch out for them
pain killers...they make you post some funny stuff. Better go take mine now...I think

I know a couple people from church who had it with great success! Spend your time of healing wisely.....make a nice long list of new goodies and at the top of page put OCD!

Things are getting better already. Medications are doing their job (used to say for recreation purpose only)! Moving arm to straight position, but not much shoulder movement yet. Trying to be extra careful with it so I don't have this procedure again, just not fond of pain. Friends and Family (you guys) asking when we can ride, no hurry from me, just the wrong(way) move or bump in the road and I see loss of control. Being smart is not one of my stronger points, but I'm trying. Thanks for being there, Wrongway

Sorry I'm jumping in late on this one. From a medical perspective...when you start to do your PT/rehab and they tell you to take your meds before you start...LISTEN TO THEM. It will make your exercises less painful which will increase your ability to do them and in turn will greatly increase your range of motion.

Now you see why Mr Myagi always said wax on and wax off and used both hands...after much practice I can wax off with both hands.
