So far I'm convinced the right combo is RH TD and SERT.  I have had on mine since the start with no problems.
just my $0.02.

Howdy.  :)
I went with the Rinehart TD's, SE A/C, and SERT. Put em on last Friday as the SERT's just got delivered. As far as I know, the PCIII, Tmax and others are still playing catch up with the new ECM the Moco put in the 08's. I would ask whoever you are going to have do your work what they recommend? It's all matter of looking at the + / - then make the decision that makes you happy. Good luck with the scooter.  ;)

Personally I am going with the D&D Fatcat 2 into 1 pipe. True duals look nice but don't get the same power output. Also  using the SERT.

The 08 SERT finally came in, so yesterday I dropped off the bike to get it installed as well as the VnH dressers and ovals.

The bike rides and sounds better now. My buddy has a regular RK with the same set up, mine is much louder - I gues it has to do with the fact that my bike has a bigger displacement than his.

Anyways, it finally sounds like a Harley and I love the ride even better now!!! :mango:

Momo

Did you get a custom map with some dyno time, or did you just get the stock download? The reason I'm asking is that my dealer quoted me $2,300 for the Rinehart TDs, SERT, installation and dyno time. I'm thinking the SERK makes enough power stock and I'm mainly looking for sound and rideability. Let me know which way you went... Thanks  :xyxthumbs:

My SERK arrives in January and my dealer in Utah priced RH TD at $1700 not counting dyno time.

BubbleHead How does a 2-1 give you more power?

Lasermag1:
I am no mechanic but as I understand it the 2 into 1 helps with exhaust gas scavaging. The flow inside the pipe from the two cylinders helps make it easier on each to dump out the back thereby increasing power. A true dual system has only itself to push the gases out. Sounds kinda like the same effect as drafting in racing. Again I'm Not a mechanic and am sure someone on here can explain it much better than me. So far I am extremely happy with the D$D Fatcat. The sound isn't the same as my previous RH true duals, too me It is a more menacing sound now and the power is great very linear and responsive. :bananarock:

If two into one makes more HP why is it the drag racers don't use them?

drag racers are not concerned with bottom end and midrange power
when the light comes down on the tree they are wide open
they are looking for peak power

Who says drag racers don't run two into ones?  Normally aspirated engines, cars and bikes, run a lot of 2-1, 4-1, etc. headers.  When you move up to the blown classes, exhaust scavenging becomes moot and then you see a lot of short individual pipes.
