Grover,
I know exactly what you are going through.  I lost a brother at 46 in Feb 06 the same way.  Sharing your story is important to all of us.  It reminds us all how fragile life is and that we are a family here.  Your loss is our loss as well.  Make sure to get LOTS of hugs from everyone at your family get togethers.  Don't be embarassed to shed a tear or two.  Our family is much closer now and will be forever.  I'm praying for Brian's kids.  Keep the faith.  They say that time heals all wounds.  It doesn't in the loss of a brother.

Mark, good to hear from you again, but so sorry to hear of the sudden departure of your brother.  I lost my younger (only) brother a couple of years ago the same unexpected way.  It is a shock to everyone and you will continue to miss him.  Thanks for sharing and God bless you and your family.   spyder

To all CVO members.  I don't mean to jack this thread but it's important to know that in 50% of all people with undiagnosed coronary artery disease (CAD), their 1st sympton is death.  Get yourself checked out.  You owe it to your families.  Everyone should have blood tests including a lipid panal and CRP.  Everyone should know the difference between HDL and LDL and how to affect each one.  Everyone should have a cardiolite stress test to identify early blockages if you have a family history of CAD (shows areas of ischemia in the heart under exertion).   It's easily treatable when detected early.  I have an appointment with a Cardiologist on Monday.

Mark,

my deepest condolences and prayers go out to you and your family, I also know and feel what you are going through. our family lost our sister-in-law on Valentines Day from a 10 yr. battle with the big "C".  Take comfort in knowing that he went peacefully in his sleep and cherish the memories of your brother in your heart and mind forever.

Hard to type with tears in your eyes. Really feel for you and the family. The hawk and eagle signs witnessed are a true sign of your brothers freedom. Sorry!

As Jim put it so well.

That's so true! I lost one of my younger brothers, at "only 49" but his was after a long battle with heart disease and even beating cancer. There is something to the 'fly-bys' I think. Remember the good times, and always put family first, in the end they're what really matters.

Sorry about your loss and I'm sure everyone here has you, your family and his family in their thoughts and prayers.
