New plug wires on SERG!
« on: March 17, 2009, 09:56:17 PM »

Well it's 8 years old.

Soon or later it was time.

But what a pain.

Set on a 100 all was well, but roll on it at that speed and I could feel a little miss.

Time for new plug wires.

But does Harley make anything easy?   NO!

To get to the coil the tank has to be raised about two inches. (and I keep all the tanks full)

A pain, but no big deal, and  just not a place for big hands.

New wires, new plugs, no more miss!

A good running SERG is a happy SERG!

And a happy SERG means a happy Chip.

Just living the dream here!

I'm running the Nology wires on both bikes.  They produce a LOT better spark.  Bike runs better, and it even reduced pinging in hot weather!

Plenty of money on the left coast for sure.

I'm using heavy duty TV cable for mine.

Tell me about it same thing on my SEEG!!! I've had a pair of orange plug wires for several years that haven't been installed. When I raised the tank to change them I couldn't get my hand anywhere near the coil. :(
