Well Big Brian here are my 2 cents. Bro your bike is looking sweet. I almost bought the 03 a couple of Biketoberfest's ago.Didn't much like the paint but it has grown on me. I kinda like the leather bags on your scoot. When you mount the fairing its gonna look sick. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] When I mount my apes I'll post some pics so I to can have my avatar be me hangin on the apes. Plus the weather looks gorgeous in Dago,WTF why can't it be warm here. :'( Talk at ya . Later,Q

The reason there are no pics yet of Elvis in Road attire is that I had to take the outer fairing shell back to the painter. Word to the wise. If you buy a Hoppe fairing you need to have about 1 inch of the insed of the outer shell painted to match. The fairing while looking exactly like the factory batwing fairing assembles differently. My guess would be that the pulled a mold off a factor model and then made changes so as to not run afoul of patent laws. In any event, the Hoppe is a great product, just be aware of this issue when getting one painted. The instructions that come with the fairing mention it and I told the painter, but he misunderstood and went with what he had done in the past in painting H-D parts. Still, the painter Norton's Custom Designs in San Marcos did a great job. You've seen his work in a lot of the magazines if you check the spec page.

Spiderman,

Elvis is in the house!  Looks great with the fairing too.  Needless to say, I'm stashing money right now, including selling a KLR-650, to buy a Dragonfly fairing and lowers.

Got a question.  How did you handle extending the clutch line.  HD has everything I need except that.

Thanks,

Steve

Steve,
Check the thread in this section on Apehangers. Should explain everything you need to know on cables, hoses etc. Also give the Hoppe fairing a look. The brkts are steel vice fiberglass as is on the Dragonfly. The 200 watt stereo and quad speakers are awesome as well.  ;)

BigBrian, thanks for the info.  How does the fairing fit on your passing light hardware?  Any mods necessary?  Love the way those lights look.

Everything fits fine. No interference issues. One of the reasons I liked the Hoppe.

Head unit ?
