100 LL
« on: May 20, 2009, 11:57:28 PM »

Anybody run 100LL in there bikes.
I tried a mix of half 100LL and premium 93 octane and it seems to make a big difference but I'm kind of concerned that I might be running a little to lean any comments would help.
Oh, I'm running a 103 with S&S 585 cams and 10.5:1 pistons with some head work with V&H Bigshot Longs.
Stage 2 air cleaner and more.

I am a commercial pilot and know 100LL very well. I have run it in my RX-7 at 100% and it runs great. You shouldn't have any problems with it in a SERK. The higher the compression the higher the octane needed. I know mine pings on the cheap grade but not premium. The only issue running it in my car is the lead killing my cats, not the feline type. I have not tried it in mine yet, but I will. I love having my car exhaust smelling like an airplanes.

If you don't need the higher octane it won't do a bit of difference in how it runs.
