Muffler broken

My right side muffler got broken while ridin.I will post pics tomorrow.Too dark now :drink:

I dunno my friend was riding it.Theres no scratches anywhere under the bike nor heat shield.It seems like it just got broken somehow.Maybe someone stepped on it while parked. :drink:

Get those pictures I need to see this, Ive handled hundreds of mufflers and never saw one broken that hadn't come from a T bone collision. Im guessing there is more to this story.

Well here are the pictures.Talked to harley and they said a similar thing happened with one of their test bike was also a touring model.They will replace it.

I took it to the local muffler shop and the guy welded it nicely.

I was riding at night the other day and my friend was following me in a car.He said he could see the area of the cat at dark because it was glowing.Could this be the heat?
Local muffler guy said it could happen because of a defected production and vibration. :drink:

A picture is worth a thousand words, its not your muffler that broke, its a welded extension on your head pipe, A defective weld could have easily succumbed to vibration and heat,
