Maybe an easier and faster way to check the wheel code.
« on: July 26, 2009, 10:36:12 PM »

I was just thinking about when the guy that checked my code. He didn't remove the tire. He removed the wheel and tire and broke the bead on the tire, compressed it and looked at the code with a flashlight. I was thinking that maybe they could just jack up the bike, let the air out of the tire, break the bead on one side of the tire and look inside at the code. If this would work they could do the whole thing in about 15 minutes. I just don't know how hard it would be to break the bead down without the tire machine. T.

Couple blocks of wood and a C-Clamp always worked for me.
