cyl head ?
« on: July 21, 2010, 10:00:58 PM »

I have a question for everyone, wondering if anyone has flowed a set of cyl heads, increased comp to 10.5, and used the 255 cam with that setup, if so, what kind of # did it produce?

If you're going to spend the money to upgrade the heads, there's really no sense in using the 255s. They are a solid cam for use with low flowing stock heads because they essentially die out around 42-4500rpms. Having headwork will increase flow however if you're not going to upgrade to a cam that uses that flow, then what's the point of getting the headwork done. If you're getting headwork you should be shopping for a higher lift cam that will benefit from the greater headflow.
