Adhesives
« on: March 21, 2011, 11:55:00 AM »

Does anyone know what the MOCO uses as an adhesive to secure the moulding that seperates the inner and outer fairing on a Roadglide? If not what the factory uses what about an alternative?

20, Don't know and could not find in the SERG parts manual.  I have used a spot of Gorilla glue at the ends of the moulding which worked fine.  Conversely, how about trying an auto parts store?  Just make sure the adhesive is heat resistant.

Gonna paint those ugly black mldgs. to match the fairing. Only want to put them on once and don,t want anything oozing out.

3M Trim Adhesive, product that is made for this application, works good. Any auto parts store.
