She's not gone.....she's got some medical issues, no diagnosis yet....biopsy tomorrow.

She said that she doesn't want everybody freaking out....there's not even a diagnosis yet. She's got something going on and they're going to get her in to the cancer center tomorrow for biopsies.

I was talking to her as I was reading that.....

Mass confusion and to Barry's defense, I think there was a little misunderstanding between he and V. Anyway, she'll have the biopsy results in a couple of days. Praying for nothing but negative (positive?) results

Wow! Thanks everyone. I'll give the Reader's Digest version of the Cliff Notes to make this as short, sweet, and painless as possible. I had to cancel ribfest due to some medical tests. If I did not have to tell Barry we wouldn't be staying at his house or asked him to let Hogbreath know we wouldn't be there, this would not have been an issue. No one would have known. It's no big deal. It's a biopsy for suspicious tissue due to presenting sympltoms along with my family history of Breast Cancer. My mom and sister had BC before the age of 40 so they are just being extremely cautious.

In other words, as I told my sons, "It's standard operating procedure for boobs over 40!"

It's not a big deal. If it becomes a big deal, I promise I'll let everyone know. Thank you very much for your concern and prayers. It is so nice to know I have such good friends. I miss all y'all so much. I was seriously bummed about missing Ribfest. If I thought there would be any ribs leftover, I'd ride up tomorrow, but I know with this crowd, they'll be gone!

Now will someone post pics from the Ribfest, already? I was wondering why some many attendees were online when I logged on and were not out riding or enjoying a cold beverage???

Hopefully it won't amount to anything.

My wife is a cancer survivor. She had a very aggressive form of leukemia, very low survival rate.
She kicked cancer's butt, I think a large part of her success was due to her attitude.
To look at her now you'd never guess she was ever sick.

Thank you all! You're right, Kerb, it wasn't anything. I think doctors just like scaring you. I finally got back the test results last night. MRI was normal. The blood work showed infection, but doctor said, "The infection was of normal levels at 7,700. The differentials were of normal size, shape and contour so nothing crazy there." In other words, no cancer. The swelling and infection did in fact come from a bug bite and is not IBC. They ran titers to test for antibodies. The prognosis is Lyme Disease. I will be on doxycycline for 30 days, but I'm ok with that because the alternative would have been much worse!!

Them damned ticks. Have them stay on top of the Lymes....my wife got Rocky Mt. spotted Fever (tick bite) and had a time recovering...leaves permanent damage, so glad you got it diagnosed properly...that's usually a hard thing to do from the start. Take care of yourself. spyder

Great news! Damn ticks. We are loaded with them here in Mass, too. Take care of yourself. I had to leave bike week in Laconia 5 years ago with an infected tick bite.
It was probably the best bad medical news you could get in that situation.
