2000 Orange and Black...What's it Worth?
« on: March 02, 2013, 09:57:15 AM »

I am the original owner of an orange and black 2000 CVO Road Glide and thinking about selling it.  It has 40k miles and just a few changes like exhaust/seat/painted inner fairing ect but mostly stock.  Have all stock parts and documents.  I've seen these listed for a wide range of prices but don't really know what they are actually getting.  Has the economy hit these pretty hard or has the value stayed pretty even? I think the last time I checked (couple years ago) I saw they were listing for $13-$15k.  Thanks

If you indeed have all the goodies for it, then $13.5-$15K should be in the ballpark.

Lots of the older bikes seem to lose parts when they get traded/sold.

I'm definitely no expert and was actually hoping to learn something from this thread, myself, about current values.  It's been a couple of years since I had mine for sale on this site, but that was the same range I was seeing, even a little higher for low-mile, complete bikes.  Mine is no longer for sale, so I haven't been paying any attention to values lately.

I would think anyone in the market would be looking at the 4 sources you sited.  I don't know that one or the other will bring any more money, but eBay probably has the largest audience.

Would you take $50,000 for it?

Ask BadDawg what they're worth.  His is almost all original with 100K on it and I'm sure he'd tell me it was worth at least $50K, probably more.

For what it is worth, I paid about $12,500 a couple of years ago when I bought mine from a local dealer.  The bike had about 13,000 miles on the clock then.
