Wachuko, love your build threads (I followed your 48 build thread on the other forum)! Thanks for taking the time to document all the details and share with us. I just joined the CVO brotherhood today with a 14 just like yours. Can't wait to get my mods started.

Do you happen to have the part numbers for the service manual and SE supplemental manual? I would appreciate it if you have them handy. Thank you!!!

Took the bike Sunday for the 1K service.  The documented the following: "Could faintly hear the inner primary bearing and race noise-will schedule at a later date to diagnose.  Also, rear tank fasteners were found loose."

I will schedule another service appointment soon..

Also, got the final part of the color matched saddlebag spoilers... the painted part.  The style is so different from the previous ones... I kind of liked the older style better as it actually had some style to it.  The new ones are just rectangular shaped...

I will post some photos along the way.  Just need to decide if I install them over the clear protective covers (that I have not installed) or directly over the lids...

Painted saddlebag spoiler light cover came in... setting up the lights to install.  I like the style of the old ones better... they had a spoiler style to them... these just look like a rectangle on the lid.. no nice curvy lines to them...

Light assembled.  Now to drill the lids.

Not done with the handles with lights (I mean, saddlebag spoiler lights)... but decided to remove the headpipe in preparation for installing the FuelMoto cat-less pipes.

Stock unit (goes to Cory since I used his when I removed and traded the one on the RGC CVO...)

Removed.  Will do some cleaning and polish of chromed parts before installing everything back

Take-off cat-less headpipe from RGC CVO.  Oxygen sensors in place

That is all for tonight.  Fighting a stupid cold/flu... need some rest.

Well... looks like I am done with mods for this bike.  Finito.

Cat-less headpipe installed.

Saddlebag spoilers with lights installed.

Only need to finish routing the wires, a good wash and detail... and just put miles on it.

Looking good!  I wonder if there is any advantage to the x-pipe vs. removing the cat from the stock headpipe??? On my last bike (12 FLHX) I cut the stock headpipe open, emoved the cat, welded it back up and painted it black. Got rid of a lot of heat. But, the stock chamber is fairly large and I always wondered if exhaust velocity slowed at the chamber due to shape/size. Any thoughts?

BTW, I used 2.25  inch fullsac baffles in stock CVO cans for that bike. It sounded great...nice rumble but not too loud to tour. I am probably going with the same baffles on my CVO. But I am going to talk with fullsac before making the final decision.

For what it's worth...I ran a fuelpak for a while with the above set up. I then went to the Harley Race Tuner and loaded the provided map for my bike/configuration. It was night and day difference in performance. The bike would pull away from a friend with the same setup (103, decat, fullsac baffles, fuelpak) even when I was riding two-up and he was solo. Prior to the change to the race tuner our bikes ran about the same. The race tuner isn't cheap but for $350 from an online dealer it changed the bike performance dramatically.

I had the headpipe from my prior bike.  So no additional cost.  Stock headpipe is heavier, so there is also some weight savings with this mod.  You bring a good point on decating the stock pipe and what that could impact the torque curve....do not know.

I have a Power Vision from my previous bike, just need to buy the license to be able to use it on this bike.

Nope...liked the lines of the lids better without them.  Too late now, lids drilled and spoilers installed. :nixweiss:
