Has anyone else had the rubber foot rests fall off the mustache bar?

Been in the HEAT? I pulled one off after the crash and bike was repaired. The glue was amazing. The rubber tore apart and the glue held.
Thought I could have a spare in case one came off.
Maybe the adhesive fails at high temps???

To answer your question, yes other folks have reported having the rubber foot pads fall off the mustache crash bar/engine guards.  At the same time, other people have asked for advice about how to remove the pads because they were stuck so tight they couldn't just peel them off.  So it seems that once again H-D has a variability problem.

I assume the bike is still under the two year factory warranty, so take it to the dealer and have them fix or replace it.

I kinda like the look without the pads, it was uncomfortable wrapping my legs around the tank in order to use them anyway.

I wondered about that when I saw one recently.  It didn't seem like it would be a very functional foot rest, but perhaps a really long legged cowboy with bow legs might find it useful.   :nixweiss
