Blown speaker

The left rear speaker on my bike has blown. This is the third time. Any ideas as to why?  Bad amp? Bad head unit?

Is it the stock H-D Boom speaker that came with the bike? Hard to say on what damaged them. The stock Harmon Kardon head unit has it's limits on volume. The only other thing I could think of would be DC voltage from the amp. It would require an experienced tech to investigate that issue.

Frankly, I've been pleased with the stock speakers in the rear pods. They have stood up to far more abuse than the after-market set I installed.
