Uncle Jesse could teach them a thing of two as to how to properly prepare and cook ribs!

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop is a tavern located on the corner of Bourbon Street and St. Philip Street. The tavern's building, built sometime before 1772, is one of the older surviving structures and has been called the oldest continually occupied bar in the United States.  According to legend the pirate Jean Lafitte once owned the building, though as with many things involving Lafitte, such as it being a place where he plotted his illegal seizures.

The St. Charles Avenue Line starts uptown, at South Carrollton Avenue and South Claiborne Avenue.  It runs on South Carrollton Avenue through the Carrollton neighborhood towards the Mississippi River, then near the river levee turns on to St. Charles Avenue. It proceeds past entrances to Audubon Park, Tulane University and Loyola University New Orleans, continues through Uptown New Orleans including the Garden District, and ends at Canal Street in the New Orleans Central Business District at the edge of the French Quarter, a distance of 13 miles.

If you have never been on it I would highly suggest it…   :2vrolijk_21:

The Cabildo was the seat of colonial government and is now a museum. The Cabildo is located along Jackson Square, adjacent to St. Louis Cathedral.

Yep.  It’s my birthplace N’Awlins!  Had to return where it all began.  As a matter of fact right here!  Funny thing.  The owner of my former home files an American Flag.  I do too!

Marty this flag is for you!   :2vrolijk_21:

Wow! Jockster never knew you were from N'Awlins! Why, that's right up the road from where Paul and Sherry grew up. :o House looks good too! Was it that nice growing up in it??? Love it when you ride and love the narrations that go along with the awesome pics. I learn and see so much thru your eyes and rides! Started praying for you today and will every day now that I know your trip has begun. Need a place to rest your head or just do laundry, you know where I'm at. Be safe, especially this weekend. Love ya man, God Bless!  :2vrolijk_21:
