The M8 Sportpipe bolts right on the Trikes with no mods or adapters.

So I have a question.

I have had the ventilator extreme on my bike since they came out. I understand the theory of flowing air thru the face of the filter rather than the side and that brings me to my question.

If the air is flowing thru the face of the filter element more, why is it that the filter media around the edges gets the dirtiest and driest? The center portion stays pink and oiled while the edges look just like a regular ventilator filter does after many miles.

What am I overlooking? (Okay, so that is two questions)
