People keep asking me why I haven't posted pics. I'm having too much fun!! Today is a free day so I am going to post pics. Some of these may seem old since they are from the whole trip. This has been the greatest trip. I can't tell you how many times I have said OMG. The views have been spectacular and the people even better. You meet some of the greatest people at CVO events! Thank you sll for your hospitality. Or should I say "Thank all y'all for your hospitality!!!" What a perfect vacation!

Really enjoying all the photos, not the same as being their but life happens. Glad to hear the worst incident is only a flat tire. Looks like the weather has been real nice so thats always a plus. Sure miss being there, but their will be more opportunities. Everyone ride safe and have a wonderful time, looking forward to hooking up with you all on another adventure. Hope to see some of you at Jims hd-dude on Sat. Jon.... :2vrolijk_21:

Great pictures. Would love to see some more. Looks like everyone had a great time and a first hand taste of some east coast drama!LOL Really though the scenery out there is beautiful. I could not believe the picture "V" sent me of Mt Hood. All that snow cap in the middle of July absolutely beautiful.
I hope everyone has a safe trip back home as the weather is hot as hell out there right now!

If you are the one who found it and still have it please contact him I'm sure he would be happy to get it back. I told him someone found it but I don't remember who it was. Should have anounced it at the farewell dinner but .... hate when that happens.

Go much fun! Thanks for the adventure! Kudos to all who worked so hard!

-
Great time in da Hood. Thanks to all involved, Magoo's and Rooster's.
The rides were great and Cindy and I had a great time. Wish we could have made the last night farewell party but I had commitments to the charity golf outting early Friday morning. From the sounds of it everyone had a good time seeing everyone else off.
BB and John made it to our house in Roslyn last night and we all went to the golf tournament after BBQ. Crazy time there, we may have had too much to drink. BB was relaxing after his great time with everyone. I got a drawing ticket for a trip to Pinehurst and won it.
-
The NorCal Crew is home after a FANTASTIC week in the Hood! A little hot, but safe. Dave/Donna, Marty/Paula, and Rich left Jim's Shop to head south a little while ago. Again thanks everyone for making this such a great get together, and a special thanks to the Magoo's and the Roosters for putting all that extra work to set this up!
-
Thanks John and Brian for a fun adventure homeward bound!
I see your new handle Carolyn, I know John will have fun seeing it. He mentioned you may be changing it.
Very fitting with your great looking SERG.

Teepee Stop
-
GTG's all all about the ride and friends for me. Screamin' Beagle and I decided to see if we couldn't get our buddy out of his nest in Maine for a little riding in some sun. BB showed up in Seattle on Monday afternoon and Cindy picked him up and brought him over to share the ride with us and everyone on our Nanner.
We trailered so the Harley golf cart could make the trip to da Hood.
-
Once there the fun began and the riding was great all three days. Just a few clouds the first day at Multnomah Falls
-
Many made the difficult (er uh) not so difficult trek to the bridge near the bottom fall. An incredible distance from the parking lot.
-
Cindy and me at the falls
-
On to the snow park near Mount Hood, the bikes look great as alway in the parking lot
-
Only incident other than grandpadoc's flat tire, a canine encounter did some minor damage to a front fender
-
On day two, after testing our Interstate City driving skills into Washington and a stop at the HD shop it was on to the twisties in the National Forest of Mt St. Helens, a pit stop at the ranger station
-
.
-
A great lunch at the overlook of the mountain with salads and pulled pork sandwiches
-
We opted for the golf on day three, I was lucky enough to get Blair and Roy as partners
-
A murderous heat required much beverage consumption as you have already seen in this thread.
The beer was delivered often and cold................I travelled in the luxury of the Harley cart
-
My fourth Harley held up well even for a 37 year old
-
Thanks again to the support staff for a great 2nd Annual Golf outting
-
and to all my fellow participants, thanks for a great day on the links, see y'all at the Third Annual in a location yet to be determined
-
Looks like it was a good time... :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

We arrived home safe and HOT with no pictures of Barney Fife behind us. WOW, what a great time! I have to download 500+ pictures Donna took?
It is 102 in the garage, changed to shorts ONLY and went into unload the bike and got the chills, that is how hot the road was!
Note to Rooster's and Magoo's..............................Love you! Thank you ALL for the great time.

Andy, thanks for making all the correct turns while we were behind you! I had forgotten to thank you before we left da Hood.
Great seeing all of the Cali group again and we definitely need to hook up in Nor-Cal for the run to So-Cal.
-
The Georgia Girl made it home safely. I can't wait until I can go thru all the pics. I had a great time. Perfect trip. Thank you JC and Terrie for making it happen for me. The ride back in JC's Riding School was the best ever! Nice seeing Nor Cal crew again and nice meeting all the new friends. You all are the greatest!

Can't wait to see Donna's pics!
-
You guys looked like you had the BEST time!
I can hardly wait for San Juan Bautista!
-
Wait a minutes here, TP is not in my bag of tricks. Mine are more like putting my buddies truck up on a stack
of wood pallets with the company forklift, then taking the tires off and tying them together with rope and hanging
them like a mobile from the tree branches. When I'm Rotten I am rotten. Anyway I remember 3 Rogers at this event. The wife and I had a most excellent time meeting and riding with you all. We look forward to next years events. I'll get our pictures posted in the next couple of days. Thanks Mr and Mrs Rooster and the Magoos for the great time.

Wrongway was talking to TRAPPERDOG, the practical joker of our crew...

Here's one of me on Terriez Street Glide while enrolled in the JCZ California Riding School! Seriously, riding with JC with the bluetooth helmet is definitely a learning experiment. He taught me sooooo much about countersteering (with one hand) and helped me get over my fear of semi's! I told JC he needs to open a riding school!!! He told me he'd send me his bill!

Vernee,
You have TWO bikes. Ship one to the West Coast and keep it there. That way you are covered for anything on either side of the country.
Mark
-
I should have done that so I'd be covered for San Juan Baptista too! It'd be tough to choose! Bagger or Vrod...
-

Vrod west coast since you mostly would be doing rides from one location. You wouldn't necessarily need the bagger for hauling stuff. :nixweiss:
-
That'd make sense since I ride it the least here. I should ship it out and take RLAP on itthe weekend before Labor Day! I should have shipped it out for this trip and left it there for Labor Day, but from my understanding storage space is a big commodity on the West Coast. That might get expensive.
BTW, Roger, it was a pleasure meeting you and Cindy. :2vrolijk_21:

Mr and Mrs. Magoo, Rooster and everyone else that helped to prepare for this event.
Thank you again for all the hard work you put into this event. We had a wonderful and unforgettable time.
It was the first long trip for Sharon and I and we had no idea that we would have so much fun.
The planning was perfect, the food was great and the rides and scenery were awesome.
The evenings, outdoors on the deck of the Hood River Inn, enjoying a few cocktails and some dinner was totally relaxing.
We met some great, interesting and fun loving people and We will be talking about this trip for a long time.
I hated for it to end.
I hope to see everyone together again at the next GTG.
The only bad part about this trip is that I found some rather expensive "Gotta have it's" on Terry's (Roosters) bike.
It's gonna cost me some money. Dang it Terry. :2vrolijk_21:
I also want to thank Jim (HD-dude) for setting up my ride. It performed flawlessly.
We were two-up, fully loaded riding in rain and temps well over 100 degrees.
We pulled the hills around Grants Pass (Temp near 100 degrees) with no issues at all.
No Pinging, no overheating and plenty of power.
I think it was 112 degrees in Red Bluff when we pulled in.
I got stuck in some traffic at stop lights (idling) and still no overheating and no pinging when pulling away from the line.
We looked like hell but the scoot hung in there.
Having a dependable ride made this trip that much more enjoyable.
Thank you all
Jim and Sharon

They got laws that govern truth in advertising. You should have said "Roger....the one that looks like Ernest.....know what I mean Vern?" :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:
-
Jim, (Gadget), all those gadgets came from this site. We all find things along the way that we and many others like and add them to our bike to give more comfort, power, and certain looks. And the longer you hang out here on this site you will add more too. Besides what makes a person feel good instantly other than a new addition to there bike. I can remember on the trip to Nelson Canada many of us met the first nite at the Grand Coulee Dam a few of us went from bike to bike and would start by asking, ok what do you have on your bike. I went home with a big shopping list. HA HA. Enjoyed your company at the GTG, Next stop SAN JUAN BATISTA!!!!

Look at V......riding one handed, even in the curves. :2vrolijk_21: Counter steering, push-pull steering, what ever you want to call it rapidly accelerates your skill level. V could't believe how much easier it was to get through the curves.
I couldn't believe it when I told her to set the cruise control and she said "how do I do that.....I've never done that before". Talking to her via the wireless intercom, she was able to learn counter steering, all the features of cruise control (cruise, resume, accelerate or decelerate at increments of 1 mph, etc.) as well as how to stay in the tire path that she's riding in, even when passing other vehicles.
Lastly, I learned that she'd been using her legs to steer around curves with (pressing down on the floor boards.....steering with upper body). So when she learned counter steering she also learned that she could now use the highway pegs. The photo of her shows her riding one handed, feet on the highway pegs with cruise control on.
She progressed quite a bit over the 200 miles that she rode Terrie's bike. Her boyfriend back in Georgia (I believe it's Jeff......talked with him on the phone for a few) should find it a new experince riding with her, now. I was happy to help you V.......you were a great student......my bill is in the mail! :2vrolijk_21:

Melanie......while I might be the best looking guys on the site and you are one of the "best looking".......I'd certainly never think of you as a guy. Is there something more that you'd like to share with us? :nixweiss:
