Thinking of putting a tach on the 09 Springer.What is the best tach option and brackets for the 09?Thanks for any replies!

From what I understand from other threads in the forum is that the tach from the 07/08 line won't fit the 09 without some work due to the changes in the handlebar. Also if I remember right, it may hit the tank without swaping risers or something akin to this. Been a while since I read the thread.

However, it has been done, so you could get all the details in the following thread where someone documented what they went through.

On the other hand, HD makes a direct swap part for your current speedo. You might want to check this out as well. Less wires to deal with.

Been on the fence about how to add a tach to mine as well (which method); however, content with just going fast and using my ear.

I've been thinking of this as well, but I've resigned to getting the combo speedo/tach when i get around to it. Seems to be the cleanest install.

I had the speedo / tach installed on my 2009 CVO Springer..like the look, clean bars...the clock feature is great also.
