Looks nice Wayne, the only thing that would make it look better is if we traded exhaust tips and you had chrome tips to match you license place frame  :huepfenlol2:

Finally got the Stealth mounted. Took some thinking and some fabrication but I was able to use the stock backing plate and harness cover. I am very pleased with the way it came out. I had the backing plate nuts tig welded to make sure it wont break off. I dont mind the night time light look, as I see it, I dont Ha Ha  I know a bad attempt at humor!
Looks fantastic! What exactly, other than weld the lugs, did you have to do to make it mount?

Charley

You have to remove the swedged nuts on the backing plate that mounts the stock bracket, I tried drilling the threads but with the angle the bolts have to go into the Stealth its easier to remove them. About 1 hour frustrating myself before I figured that out. I had to cut longer mount bolts to fit (the supplied bolts are too short if you use the backing plate and in my case the plastic washers). This is the step that takes the longest, you want the bolts to go almost all the way into the Stealth without bottoming out when tightend. When you do these 2 things its a cake walk to assemble, I also used blue loctite on the mount bolts.  If I decide to ever mount the stock plate bracket I will just use longer bolts with washers and locknuts.
Hope this helps

This helped me. I was ready to go back together after drilling out the threads with a 1/4" like Yaffe instructed and the bolts are too short. Going to take the factory mount to work tonight and drill the "swedged nuts" off.

Could someone please measure the opening, right to left & top to bottom for me? our B.C. plates are 8x5 & I need to know if enough of it will be visible.

Thx.

How does the black look on the bike? I was thinking chrome but after the pic that looks pretty sweet.

Definately the Black on the Black Diamond, Why anything else, from the rear the bike looks all Black and that's what makes it so unique, IMHO!!!

I installed the Yaffe license plate frame a few months ago and love it. I think it really cleans the rear fender up nicely and have been pleasantly surprised by the light. As for covering up the license plate, not a problem on mine.

Good luck on your decision.

I like the looks of mine but you can see a mark above & below of the new plate where the old light was.Going to have to take to body shop to buff out.
