Well, I am taking a slightly different path. I bought what I thought was plug and play LED signals front and rear and after close scrutinization last night and this morning, I have figured out that these are not made for the Convertible. they are made plug and play for a bike that you want to put bullet signals on and tie them into the center fender taillight like I had on my Heritage. It has a short 18" harness that plugs right into the taillight with supplied plastic fittings, etc. Ours have a single wiring harness from the light all the way thru the fender to the fitting just under the seat. So there is splicing involved. I believe they will work but I have a question for all those of you that have electrician blood in your veins.........in the picture, it shows 4 wires coming out of the new LED taillamp. Blue, black, violet, and red/yellow stripe. Our OEM taillamp on the convertible has blue, black, and violet wires coming out of it. So, the question is, what might be the purpose of the red/yellow stripe wire?? Would it be needed or not? Our convertibles have a 3-wire harness coming straight back thru the fender for the left and a separate harness for the right, and a 2-wire harness for the license plate. I kknow I will have to splice the wires into the harness for each side. Anybody have an answer for my question?? thanks. Pork.
