That is awesome, where did you find that information? Any other information around cost, exhaust required?

I couldn’t find the catalog pdf’s on the site either.

Here’s a link to the motors. $6,300 plus.

https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/search.html?format=json;i=1;locale=en_US;q=131%20crate%20Motor;sp_cs=UTF-8

I would get the new catalogs from your dealer when you have a chance.  Good for bathroom and bad weather reading.

That is the street legal 131 motors.  Those are not the 131R motor.

Dave:

If you know show him where he can look at more information on the motor.  It seems HD may have done away with the downloadable catalog pdf’s this year.

I have not been able to find a good link to the 131R.  It's a race motor, not street legal.  I have looked for the Screamin Eagle catalog ling for 2021 and can not find it.

Yes, it is available now.  My understanding is about 100 of the Race motors will be made.  Not sure that they will make it as a kit, as not EPA approved.

Hopefully they will do better than the 120R, that was not a good motor.

It would be hard to do worse than the 120R.    Even Harley would have to work hard at that.

The 12.6 to 1 compression maybe a show stopper in some areas.   Hope the cylinders stay in round better than twin cam version.

What causes the torque to fall off that quick after hitting its peak?

Cam timing, exhaust and mean piston speed. There is more in the build I suspect. But they are not released and being sold, first things first.

I would say that compression ratio was “Actual” and not “Corrected” ratio meaning with cam timing it was really calculated lower?

It is common and accepted that static compression ratio is what is advertised not corrected.
