Hey guys as stated putting me inner/outer fairing with new windshield. Put the new rubber grommets in fairing. Problem is when I put the washers and screws into the grommets the rubber grommets just spin and will not tighten up!! Help

I' guessing you're speaking about well nuts. Google "well nuts" and you'll understand what to do.

Hey Phillip I did google and that really doesn't help. Once the new nut is pushed into the fairing you cant get to the back side anymore to hold it from spinning. Someone there say to super glue it to the fairing so it will not spin.

Put the wellnut on the screw. Tighten the screw to the point that the wellnuts just barely goes through the holes. Get it like that and there will be enough tension that you then continue to tighten them (slowly and by hand) in the hole.

Please Donn’t use any glue or other substance in this application. Take one in your hand and run the screw in where you see the shank starting to expand, then take it and push it in the hole, there should be some resistance, spit on it before inserting, then screw slowly and wala, you’ll get it when you have one installed. They can be finicky just be patient and you’ll overcome.
Yeah, what Don said, besides my instructions sound like a fluffing session :drink:

Take one in your hand and run the screw in where you see the shank starting to expand, then take it and push it in the hole, there should be some resistance, spit on it before inserting, then screw slowly and wala, you’ll get it when you have one installed. They can be finicky just be patient and you’ll overcome.
