That is a great weekend trip, just not enough time to take in all the great roads around there.

Tell me about it!  Pretty much everywhere I've ever been on a vacation - long or short - I wished I could have explored more!  But I got to show some new stuff to Bob and Janet and seeing it thru their eyes was fun.

Got to put 600 miles (Sat and Sun) on the new 124 and had a absolute blast! Couldn't be happier. Got to "play" with a sport bike yesterday up in the mountains and though he did "school me", when we both pulled into Julian which is a small town with only 1 gas station so we both stopped for gas he asked me what kind of motor I was running because he kept seeing me in his rear view mirror and couldn't believe it. I explained to him I was trying to put him in my rear view mirror and he was pissing me off that I couldn't do it but I still got a kick out of his question..

Sounds like you're enjoying that new motor and past the break in stage, Alan.  :2vrolijk_21:

I put a couple of hundred miles on this weekend, also breaking in a new set of rings. I had to do a repair of a bent valve and "while in there" opted to up it to a 113" with an overbore. Tuning with the PV autotune, responding very well, indeed.

Replaced my old style electric Mini-beast horn, had a broken mounting bracket, with the new style Mini-beast 1 air horn from Custom Dynamics. Supposedly this was a five minute project running the wire back to the battery – took me nearly two hours. The most difficult task was getting everything out of the way to pull the battery cover. The air horn is significantly louder than the electric version… Electric horn on left, air horn with compressor on right in the attached image.

Spent the last week putting on over 3,500 miles to Sturgis area and back to calgary.

While in Rapid City had Baker Driveline install their new Compensator, and the Baker F6R reverse gear in the geezerglide.

On Saturday I rode to visit an old friend and returned home. 780 miles and damn, it is hot in Texas. I'm still auto-tuning the new 113 build using the PV.

Wow- that's pretty neat geezerglide... Sounds like you took advantage of your time in Sturgis. Let us know how you like the additions once you get some miles on.

Installed the Hog Tunes Tweeters that Ohio Dave sold me.  Really improved the radio sound.

Thanks Dave

Put the Beacon policy on the bike. That's the part that is for all year and covers the bike....and trailer and riding gear....$1092!

The Wife's $1200 Sporty is $220.

Nice ride to town sprinkles on the windshield good tunes playing, clouds building on the mountain pass, outer bands of the hurricane rolling in.

A fresh coat of RB Quick Detailer and some leather protectant and she's ready to roll early Saturday morning to the Sturgis MS Rally.  :bananarock:

Picked it up from the dealer and proceeded to put 170 miles on it after taking a 1/2 day off.  Been working so much lately I had them install the DX pipe and dyno tune it. Sounds a little deeper without the cat in it. Runs cooler it seems although this evening when I actually put my hand down by the engine it was already down to 71* outside so I didn't feel much heat at all.
