Stole this idea from a member on another forum.  Re-routing crankcase venting. The rear vent has to be positioned this way to clear the TB.

Tomorrow, the 113 assembly begins... Yep, no sleep for me tonight.

Well rode mine to FL Wednesday for Thanksgiving at my Daughters in Pensacola, then Friday we rode to Panama City Beach, then Saturday down to ST George Island.  Then Sunday we road back home to East TN.  Saw lows of 37 and highs of 70 during our rides.  Perfect weather no rain.

Put a few miles (100) on it... nothing like what FLSTFI Dave did!!  ;) ... and yes, nice weather in FL this weekend with temps all over the place but no rain.

With the help of a friend, finally adjusted the highway pegs.  The are now perfectly situated for me.

Got some thermal clothing on special from Cycle Gear for the trip to Key West (the ride there in Jan can be extremely cold for us Floridians  :P )

This past Saturday I took delivery of: 1. Detachable Tour-Pak Conversion Kit 2. Hand Adjustable Touring Shocks 3. Screamin' Eagle High Flow Exhaust system with Nightstick Mufflers. All for my 2014 CVO Limited.
You would think a CVO would come with the best shocks and exhaust system but no - CVO's need upgrades too!
After the exhaust system is installed I plan to have the bike dyno'd using the SE Pro Super Tuner. I so look forward to riding on a casual basis without that 45 lbs. of tour pack up there behind me. With these new shocks replacing the air ones I expect even more improved handling.
Even without all these changes this CVO is one great bike!  :apple: :pepper:

The reception will be a little less as far as distance goes but definitely better than the hidden antenna.
The hidden antenna has worked very well for me. After removing the CB antenna as well the rear of the bike looks so much cleaner with no antennas. Since I seldom have the radio or any other sound on the hidden antenna will do everything I need.

Its a sad day...just dropped Rose off at the dealer for winter storage today. :(
Will not pick her up until April 1, 2015. Seems such a long time. The dealer is very understanding however...they said I can visit her anytime I want...that helped.
I am already experiencing separation anxiety.
Its going to be a looooooong winter.

Modifications are like eating hot cheese dip. You know you don't Need it, but you want it, you know it will burn your mouth, but the more you eat the more you want. When you are done, it feels good, but you see that bowl across the room and the bag of nacho chips and you just can't help yourself, you go back again. What is wrong with us?

I just placed an order with Kuryakyn, I need a twelve step program for chromeaholics.

It's not a problem until you run out of things to chrome on your bike, decide custom paint is the way to go, finish that.....Want more power so you modify the engine(with what else? Chromoly parts) and drivetrain, finish that .....and then you go out and buy another bike... you buy more chrome....now you have two bikes full of chrome and other mods....and you  begin looking for the next bike......

That's when you join a twelve step program, because after the third one you started drinking  ;D

Shocks will be a big upgrade in handling.  I hated the handling on my 15 CVO RGU, but with new Ohlin shocks it handles like a dream.

I have a thread in the Road Glide Ultra section on doing the conversion to quick detach, parts and pictures.  It's not using the HD Kit, cost a bit less, and the plate mounting looks much better.  You also do not need those big bag lights that come in the kit.

WAIT A MINUTE!!!  Ain't this the reason I bought a CVO...so I don't have to do all that stuff???  Didn't my dealer tell me I would not have to do anything else to the bike...it was already done for me??  I can't believe my dealer would tell me anything that isn't true therefore, all you guys with your chromed-out shiney bikes must have some kind of sickness...a mental disorder.

Hmmm...now where did I place my 2015 Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories book at....
