I stopped and looked at my bike on the way out today and said "Soon baby, real soon". Monsoon season has set in here in GA which has kept my riding down to a minimum. I don't know how you guys up north stand to have one parked for so many months every year, a few weeks for me and I get antsy.

I'm sure I speak for the majority when I say IT SUCKS!
Like anything in life, you take the good with the bad. Trucks will sit parked now unless it's raining out. Have 3 trips planned this year on the bike. TX,WV, and Maggie Valley.

Nope. Might make it some year. Wife only has 2 weeks vacation and I'd want to take that long to spend as much time as we could out there. Not really into the big rallies as I'm not crazy about huge crowds and vendors. The GTGs from the two bike forums I frequent most and the truck clubs I'm on are in very comfortable for me. I might do it once just to be able to say "been there, done that".

I'm not the typical Sturgis partier. Don't drink booze, never stay out past dusk. We really enjoy the rally crowds and all. We love to people watch and the riding is some of the best in the country and you know I get around on my bike. Good times. I am only a days drive though (650 miles). That makes it easier to go. Probably our last time since we plan to move SE.

Took it apart to clean and wax, added a couple of goodies and watched it rain all day from the garage.




Hope to ride tomorrow afternoon.

Got her all back together after a thorough strip down clean which was necessary due to a very wet and muddy ride out the other day. I can't take her to St Tropez in a few weeks looking less than immaculate can I? She can now proudly step out from her winter slumber wearing her new goodies with pride:

Black rear bag guards
Slipstream highway pegs
Heat Demons heated grips
Moto Dynamic LED projector headlamp
LED aux lights with repositioned turn signals with smoked lenses
Visors on all front lamps

Now all I need to do is get out there and ride

I took a short road trip down the bayou today to get a pound of the best beef jerky known to man, from Bourgeois Meat Market in Thibodeaux Louisiana.

You are very correct on that Jerky.  We have it out on the rig all the time.

Washed the SERK as it did nothing but rain all day, she is now put up ready to ride when I get home from work in 21 days.
