Ordered another part for it  ;)

What now?

As for the wife riding or not riding, I enjoy a solo ride here and there but I love it when my wife joins me and am very happy she is so enthusiastic about motorcycling. She supports all of my purchases and loves to see the end results.   :2vrolijk_21:

Interesting story.  I'm glad it all works out for both of you.  I know some couples where she doesn't care for riding and it's not working out so well.

I was asked once (well, maybe more than once) "how do you get away with it......how are you able to ride every weekend and go as far or as long as you want without the issues that some of us have?".  I told him "I've rode all my life....it's who I am and when I meet a woman I don't change or hide that part of who I am.  I let them know right up front.....this is what I do....this is who I am......most of the time you're welcome to ride along if you'd like but sometimes it's just the guys.....other times, it's just me".  So the motorcycling has never been an issue.

It kind of weeds itself out very early in a new relationship....if they don't truely enjoy it then it'll come to the surface in short order.

So what I did today (and all this week) is ride to and from work.  And, as you know Alan, it was 90F today.  Gettin to hot to ride for more than the 25 minutes it takes me to get home.
It was crazy hot today but it looks like you should have great weather for the ride this weekend.

Replaced the stock shield with a Freedom Shields 15" dark grey tint. Took it for a test ride before taking the protective wrap off of the shield and found it to be smoother than with the stock shield.  Plus I like the tinted look.

My Wifes not on here so I can say this without grief.  I actually enjoy riding without the extra person on board.  She's very small but it does change the weight and handling of the bike.  Enjoy her going but not 100% of the time which is usually the case anyway.   Guess we ride for different reasons.  I ride for the scenery and enjoyment of the bike and she rides for the social experience.
I hate riding with a passenger, but there was a time when I thought it would be nice to have the boss with me sometimes. She
was on my '08 Kawi Vulcan 1600 a few times. That bike was nothing but problems, so I traded it on a Heritage when the 2010's came out. I figured that big comfy seat with the backrest and some passenger floorboards that I put on would work for her. She was never able to get comfy. Factor in that she has M.S. which affects her balance, and the fact that she's afraid back there, and I am actually glad she won't go anymore. A side benefit is I was able to switch to a cool looking C&C Fastback. That saddle is great for me, but the little bit of leather covered padding that extends onto the fender is pretty much cosmetic.

painted my Screamin Eagle red, and painted my vents.

So is it a CVO or not?  :nixweiss:    http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=101782.msg1315972#msg1315972

After doing some recent engine work to her, I took Cracklin' Rose to Steve at GMR to get the guru-tune and she did 120/118.
Flattest prettiest torque curve a fella could ask for.

Very nice!  :2vrolijk_21:

So I have to ask, what all engine work has been done to it?

Thanks for asking(!)
The build:
2010 110 c.i.
Stock bottom end
SE 10.5 Pistons
030 cometic
Dan Vance Welded Floor 110 heads
S&S 660 beehives
Stock size 110 valves
Adjustable Fuel Moto p/rods
Woods directional lifters
T-man 660SM cam
inner cam bearings
SE 58mm TB.  (smoothed)
SE 5.3 injectors
SE Ventilator AC
Dragos Dragula  2:1 (the original)
2.55 baffle
Power Vision Tuner
AT110 auto-tune kit
Barnett Scorpion VPC
GMR Tune on the PV

Most of the mods were last year, Latest cams and heads I did last weekend.
Various other cams could be swapped into this motor at this point and make bigger numbers (maybe much bigger) but they likely would lose the nice torque curve.

Leave it alone and ride it. That sheet is a beauty.

Nice work Steve.

with Love bugs!

went thru a good portion of bug and tar remover
