Like Joe, I have been looking hard at the Jugs and pistons for my CVO King, mine has similar numbers to Joe.

I too want pistons with more compression for the set up.

Went to the dealership to start the processes of transforming this bike into my own, I really hate how expensive this could get.

Met a friend at the dealership that was getting his bike serviced and decided to have a rattling noise checked out that is coming from the engine. Ended up having to leave the bike. They found metal filings in the oil. Hopefully I will have more information the beginning of the week. Hated to leave the bike but happy I didn't get "they all do that".  Guess I'll have to ride the Hot Rod (aka. Skunk) around for a bit.

Just got a call from the dealership that some needle bearings came out of the lifter and got into the oil pump and oil filter. Guess I'll be without a bike for a few weeks but I'm getting a new motor under warranty.

Being in the mid 80s for the past week.....we've been riding.  Supposed to be 89F today, inland (more than a couple miles from the ocean).  We'll keep riding as long as this holds out.....where'd El Nino go?

cvosjoe, just to know for sure was the issue on your 2015?  How many miles?  Have not read of as many issues with the SE lifters but still unproven for long term use.  Curious because I have the same bike and was trying to make it through warranty before I start changing out suspect parts.  I know Dave puts a lot of miles on his bikes but I'm probably only doing 12k a year.  Mine was purchased last May 2015.

Yes this is on my 2015. Mileage is 34k. Oddly enough the motor on my 2011 FLTRUSE was replaced because of a lifter and inner cam bearing failure at 31k.

Cleaned it and gave it a waxing. Had to remove the scuffs from where the rear passenger seat sits on the rear fender.

Thanks, heard that a lot on the older 110's before HD went to the newer lifters.  Sounds like they are still not up to aftermarket but may make it through warranty for most riders.  Going to try and get over your way once the weather warms a bit.  Have a daughter in West Knoxville I need to visit and explore some roads in the area when she's at work.

Joe is only the second 14 and newer CVO I have witnessed with lifter issues, the other was a 14 Limited CVO last summer I road out to CA, OR and WA with.

Guess I will be listening hard on mine, as I'm at 31K
