I rode my FXSTSSE2 from central SC to the (somewhat defunct) Myrtle Beach rally. MAN! Did THAT hurt! HoooWEE! I had to stop twice just to rest my tail bones! GEEZ! Well, I do have the Sundowner seat, but I opted to ride the stock banana seat since it would look cool at all the beach stops, but I won't be making THAT mistake again!    Next time, the Sundowner will be on any ride longer than 100 miles.

By the way, the MB Rally was pretty good, not as crowded as last year or the years before. I think it's the economy but...

I know the feeling. I Love my bike and like the look of the seat. But it has no comfort what so ever.

I did the same thing..........it has been hanging in the garage for two years now.

At the bottom of this thread is my seat now and have 18,500 miles on it

i ride with the stock 07 seat, which everybody else complains about, a lil arse jiggling is normal and moving the feet around from front and rear footpegs is normal on a days riding

whats a lil arse pain, its gotta hurt some where if u ride long distance hasnt it.

Wow, 300 miles? I can go 100 and the not so iron backside wears out. I am looking for a good 2up for me and Mama. The seat getting the most looks is the H-D Tallboy (6'2"). Any thoughts?

Look at reply #2 above and then click on the thread and then scroll down to the end and you will see the seat I got from the dealers,
it is off a stock Harley and I have over 18,000 miles on it and I ride 400 to 800 miles a day. Just got back from California CVO GTG and put another 2,500 miles on the seat and the new engine.

She will like the sissy bar also.

rbaker: Nice seat! That's a great one! I bought a seat from a CVO owner here on the site. It's much more comfortable, glad I got it, so is my wife. Your's looks pretty good! I may swap mine out for good, stick it in a bag and store the sucka. Glad to hear others have similar ass fault! hehe

When I was in California for the CVO Solvang trip, I was the only Springer and they all had baggers, they said my
seat looked like a couch........I said I don't care what it looks like, I care what it FEELS like.

I have been riding since 1957 and think I should be comfortable when I ride.

AND if you don't keep your passenger happy.......you might as well stay home or ride solo......hahaha

I took the seat off my Dyna also........rode to the Colorado River (121 miles one way) got home and pulled it off and hung it on the wall next to the other brick.

That is after I went to North Hollywood and custom fitted a new LaPera seat with Gel, front and back.

So RBaker, you have both the Dyna & Springer! NICE! I almost got the Dyna and was considering the Fat Bob. Since you have both, which do you like to ride best? Are they about even or what can you say about the different motors and the ride?

When it was not in the dealers getting the recall work 6 times, I ride the Springer the most time. The factory finally sent a new 110B engine with 2009 enhancements, so now I take it everywhere, the counter balance makes it a smooth ride.

I had a 1993 FXDL (EVO) with a hot cam, S&S Super E, ThunderJet 2into 1, I rode all over the western USA and down into Mexico, sold it to my nephew.

My 08 Dyna has had the recall one time and I just ride it around town. It has more power stock than my old 93 Dyna.
Put a few things on it, V/H Shortshots, LePera seat, SERT, Pass Floorboards, LoJac.......

Here is a picture of my old ride, I gave to my son about 20 years ago and he rebuilt it (1955 Pan).

Here is a picture of my 08 Dyna with a HD Backrest and a Custom Corbin Stinger seat with red tail flames that matches the bike.  I bought my seat from a dealer on ebay.  The Corbin is a really nice comfortable seat for the rider but its not real comfortable for the passenger.  I may look at getting a really nice 2up seat.  Anyone have any suggestions?
