ABS / turn signal
« on: January 28, 2022, 09:34:05 PM »

I haven’t had the CVO for over a week.  Trying to learn and change the PIN. In the process of doing this I noticed the right turn signal was blinking fast.   The front one was working, the rear wasn’t.  Hit the brake the light turned on.  Taking the bike to FL in March and going to ride it while there.  Is there anything I can check on my end that would be quick and easy or do I just need to bite the bullet and take it to my local Harley Davidson dealer and let them look at it?

What year? If you bought it from a dealer a week ago ask if they would look at it for free, some dealers are still respectable.

Might be a dual filament bulb (one filament for brake light, one filament for turn signal) that needs a new bulb. If it's a brand new bike that should have been something noticed while doing the PDI.

It’s a 2018 Street Glide.  I bought it from the first owner.

The right brake light is now working but the turn signal isn’t.  I’m gonna take off the bag and see if there happens to be a lose connection.

Edit: I’m thinking there is some kind of short within the bag. Once it’s removed the turn signal works just fine.
