Ditto what He said.
I never gave my clutch engagement point much thought until you posted this. Now I find myself questioning the stock setup constantly.
Sent from my boring Droid phone.

I could have simply pulled the plates, installed new damper seat, and put plates back in. It's the damper seat that changes the clutch engagement position at the lever.

$12 to move the engagement point from 90% to 25% let-out is a bargain, especially if you do the work yourself, and it's an easy job. Even some of the Bandit clutches had this problem until they redesigned the damper seat (or spring washer or whatever it was).

Any pics showing the difference in the damper seats and would that new one fit my 103?

Digging up an old post. Anyone think this will work on a 2013? It's a CVO so I have a hydraulic clutch. It's about the only thing I'm not a fan of is the late clutch engagement at the end of the lever. It sounds like this is the fix.

When I installed the Baker 6-speed Reverse kit (Hydraulic clutch) , it came with a converter to go from the standard pushrod with attached bearing to the older puchrod with short adjustable threaded clutch adjuster, so whilst you cannot adjust the length of the friction zone you can (as I did) adjust it to bite later so I have it set to be fully engaged with the lever vertually touching the grip.
