I know that this must have been covered somewhere else but does anybody know any equivalent oil filter part numbers to fit the 110ci motor instead of having to buy one from the H-D dealer? Such as Fram or any brand which might be bought locally at Autozone, O'Reiley's, NAPA, Advance, etc. It doesn't have to be chrome just as long as it fits. I hat to have to drive 45 miles to get a filter. Thanks in advance for the help.

Amsoil, Mobile 1 and others make filters that will fit the Twin Cam motor. Order on line? :nixweiss:

According to the Fram site the Twin Cam filter is PH6022 in black, PH6025B in chrome. Their listed equivalents are: Big A Auto Parts 92215; Carquest 85215; Champ PH7017. I have no idea who makes any of the "equivalents" and I take no responsibility for any errors in this information. Consult your physician before using.
I'd find something I like, K&N, Amsoil, etc. and mail order a box of them. Or if you verify that one of the above is correct they and a can of flat black paint will do.

Might be worth a call to Eastern Performance. They (at least used to) sell the K&N filters in qty 4 for about $12 each.

I buy mine on the internet, from Eastern Performance. The K&N KN-171C is for all Twin Cams, is highly rated, and has a neat 17mm nut on the end to make it easy to remove.

Try a google search for "KN-171C" and you will find plenty of options, from Amazon to various and sundry parts places that sell K&N.

A note on the part numbers above. Pretty sure the Fram number is PH6065B for the chrome filter. It used to be PH6065A but I saw the B replacement on the shelf at the parts store just a few days ago and looked it up to confirm the revision. The black one was PH6022.

I know there's a lot of hyperbole about Fram's filters on the net. It's often seemed a bit overblown to me. Having said that I still never did any homework to really flesh it out and haven't used the filters because there always were easily available alternatives.
A company named Champion Labs makes the HD filters and (if memory serves) their PH7022 is their name version of the filter. The few times I ever looked it was hard to find and not at price discounts anyway. WIX, however, has always had a good rep for filters. And they've got a chrome piece that matches all the Harley specs. It's a Wix 57348.
At the parts stores it's always as much or more than the HD or K&N filters. For some reason there are often good discounts online though. Just took a quick look and found this store selling that filter. In a qty 10 even with shipping they'd be less than $10 each for chrome filters.

Just another consideration. Can't go wrong with the HD or the K&N filters though.

Mobil 1 M-102. It is a high filtration filter and very good. I use it on my Beemers as well.

Wix makes the Harley filters, you can join this company web and get the same exact filter pretty cheap. The HD filter is the best for this motor, the M1 ia also good but the HD filer is better.

Couple years (maybe longer) I went through an email exchange with a tech rep at Champion Labs (big OE filter mftr) who readily discussed making the Harley filters. They're also currently OE for at least some filters from Mobil, K&N and many others. Cite's on their site here:

Go to Ebay, search for KN-171C. I find sellers offering a four pack. I send a note, asking for 12 price. I just got 12 for $131 no tax, no shipping. $11 each. I split them with a friend, who does the same with the Amsoil cases. I do the same with the EVO 170C.
