Lost running lights intermittently
« on: July 20, 2018, 06:06:18 PM »

Bike works perfect until;

The red light next to the speedo that normally flashes when the bike is off comes on solid while I’m riding.
Can happen at any time and I then loose front and rear running lights.
Brake and turn signals work fine though.
Stop the bike and switch off it either goes away and flashes normally again or stays solid.
Seems to have a mind of its own. No rhyme or reason for it happening.
2015 model
Any ideas?

I’ll try that although the bike starts fine every time.
Thank you

I thought there was a similar problem reported on the site before. Did you try searching for this?

Not much found in a search here and generally no one seems to have nailed it down.
If it was a short but it’s nature it will blow a fuse so not that (I’m a railway electrical engineer).
This affects both front and rear running lights (swapped for white / Amber led’s a while back) so common to both ends.
Will purchase a new fob battery tomorrow as I’ve discovered the spare is dead!!
